ARM Aviation at LIMA 2007
Dec 09 2007: ARM Aviation Services participated in Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) exhibition from December 3 to December 9 with our principals to help market their products.
Many thanks to our principals EuroAvionics Navigationssysteme and Aerodata for participating together in the event. Also, many thanks to our team of volunteers that helped man the booth and made everything work smoothly.
Finally, we extend out gratitude to World Aerospace for coordinating the event and EDS Resources for going above and beyond the call of duty in organizing our booth design and construction for LIMA 2007.

EuroAvionics Seminar and Forum in LIMA 2007

EuroAvionics Navigationssysteme GmbH will be holding a seminar / forum at the Premeire Lounge Room during LIMA 2007 at 3.00 PM on the 6th of December 2007.
A presentation of the new EuroNav V system will be held followed by a seminar detailing mission management and situational awareness using advanced IT equipment. The presentation will end with a question and answer session.
Liberty XL2 in Bangkok
Nov 23 2007: Captain Patrick Carroll has arrived at Donmuang Airport, Bangkok to showcase the Liberty XL2 to the general aviation community in Thailand.

Liberty XL2 is now in Malaysia

The Inaugaral Liberty XL2 Asia Demo Flight has begun when the aircraft flown in by pilot Patrick Carroll landed in Kota Kinabalu at 1855 local time on the 20th of September 2007.
The aircraft's route will take it through South East Asian towns such as Bintulu, Kuching, Singapore, Langkawi, Bangkok and finally, Subang here in Kuala Lumpur.
The demo at D'Nest Hangar in Subang will take place at the end of September or the first few days of October, depending on the weather throughout its demo tour of the region.

Saturday: Sept 22 2007. The XL2 is currently under evaluation by Gulf Golden International Flying Academy in Bintulu, Sarawak. Here are pictures of its first day there.
Liberty XL2 at Midvalley Exhibition

The Liberty XL2 made its presence known to the visitors with a mini-roadshow during a commerce exhibition that was held at the Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with the 50th independence anniversary of Malaysia. The exhibition was held from the 30th of August until the 2nd of September.
The Liberty XL2 booth was managed by our partner, G.E. Green Sdn Bhd. Many thanks to John Cho and his team for making the exhibition such a memorable event.
ARM Aviation Services is already receiving inquiries from interested parties from a visitor from the United Kingdom, thanks to the event.

Liberty Announces the Appointment of Malaysian Distributor

Liberty Aerospace, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of our Malaysian Distributor – ARM AVIATION SERVICES SDN BHD. With the creation of a one-stop sales and support center for Liberty’s top of the line XL2 two-seater touring / trainer aircraft, ARM Aviation is poised to offer the best representation possible for this unique aircraft.
The XL2 is a light aircraft that can be used as a trainer, a touring aircraft, a law enforcement vehicle and search & rescue aircraft. It can be fitted with the latest avionics equipment and has a Fully Automatic Digital Engine Control (FADEC) engine to reduce pilot workload. Designed with safety and comfort in mind, the XL2 is manufactured with the latest state-of-the-art materials and advanced aerodynamics.
With a cruise range of over 500 nautical miles, a max speed of 132 knots, a fuel consumption of 5.5 gallons per hour, a low initial purchase price as well as low operating cost, the XL2 is poised to be an attractive and economical light aircraft which will take the aviation community by storm in the coming months.
The XL2 is certified in the United States under the FAR Part 23, and ARM Aviation Services will be working to secure a VTC for the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation.
According to Andy Lim, ARM Aviation Services' Business Development Manager, the time is right for the XL2 to be marketed in Malaysia. He said, “The Malaysian market for the entry level trainer aircraft has tremendous potential in the country based on its affordability, application of the latest technology, and matching the needs for replacing many aging trainer aircrafts owns by the flight academies and flying clubs. It is the right product for many ab-initio cadet pilots and student pilots for the 21st century flight training.”

EuroNav V Released

EuroAvionics Navigationssysteme GmbH has released the newest version of its popular series of digital moving map and mission management system: the EuroNav V.
The EuroNav V is a much improved product with years of development to improve the system for conformity with the many requirements and standards. Here is a list of improvements which can be found on the EuroNav V:
- Threat Inter-visibility:
For tactical navigation, the area visible to any threat is indicated on the map under consideration of terrain - Bull’s Eye Navigation
- Line-of-Sight under consideration of terrain
- Customer Grid:
it is possible for the User to define and navigate by a rectangular and/or polar grid. - Enhanced Navigational Maps (Release 2):
Display of enroute airways, approaches & departures, including vertical guidance. - Flight Planning with Alternative Routes
- Automatic Zooming:
according to speed, altitude or when approaching the destination, the EuroNav V can automatically adjust the zoom and the map type. - Enhanced Terrain Awareness (Release 2):
Based on a digital terrain model, the EuroNav V can issue warnings for potential Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), e.g. closure to terrain, excessive descent, negative climb after take-off, etc. - Emergency Deletion of critical data:
e.g. routes, landing sites, threats, etc. - Dual Mode Synchronization:
Dual DMG installations (i.e. systems including two EuroNav V) automatically synchronize flight situation and mission data. - Enhanced Program Flow Control:
The EuroNav V automatically detects abnormal system conditions and, depending on the severity of the problem, solves the problem, informs the User or initiates a system restart. - Enhanced Zooming:
Map ranges are freely definable; it is possible to directly select a certain map type. Smooth zooming.
